According to the latest Jefferies report, The Jet Set, inventories for preowned business jets in August have risen 6% year-over-year, representing 3.7% of the global fleet, while pricing declined an average of 5%.

In August 2025, Jefferies estimated 1,206 business jets were available for sale, up 4% from a year ago, but up 1% compared to July and equivalent to 4.8% of the total fleet, including all models and vintages, Jefferies says. Inventories for heavy jets remained flat, while medium jets rose 2% and light jets decreased by 11%.

For Bombardier, the number of units for sale fell 6% compared to a year ago due to a 12% drop in the number of Global jets on the market. However, this decrease was partially offset by a 10% year-on-year increase in Challenger on the market and a 20% increase for Learjets. In total, Bombardier’s 63 units for sale in August represent 3.4% of its fleet. Average pricing for Bombardier jets fell 14% compared to a year ago, with Learjet prices seeing the largest decline of 18%.

Cessna jets for sale totaled 78 jets, representing a 5% increase from a year ago. According to the report, the growth was driven by the addition of seven M2 and four Latitude aircraft. In total, its aircraft for sale makes up 3.6% of its active fleet. Cessna Citation jet average list prices, meanwhile, declined 13% compared to a year ago and were down 2% compared to July.

Gulfstream saw a 12% increase in jets for sale with 65 units in inventory, due to the addition of nine G650 aircraft. Of the 30 G650 jets for sale, 20 were extended range models. Pricing for Gulfstream aircraft rose 6%, driven by price increases for the G550.

Embraer aircraft for sale rose 12% to 38 units, with 3.8% of its active fleet for sale. According to the report, the increase was driven by the number of Legacy 650 aircraft for sale. Its aircraft pricing rose 2%, driven by an 11% increase for Phenom 300 aircraft. Embraer pricing, meanwhile, rose 2% compared to a year ago.

Dassault’s inventory increased 17% in August compared to a year ago with 27 aircraft for sale, representing 5.0% of their active fleet, compared to 4.4% a year ago. Prices for Dassault aircraft, meanwhile, fell 8%, with Falcon 2000LX and Falcon 7X prices falling 20% and 2%, respectively, compared to a year ago.
