Ryanair plans to open a three-aircraft base at Tirana International Airport, Albania, in April 2026. The base will operate over 450 weekly flights on 33 routes, adding 10 new destinations: Birmingham, Dublin, Milan, Malta, Naples, Pescara, Poznan, Trieste, Turin and Verona. Frequencies will rise on nine existing routes, including Bari, London, Prague, Stockholm and Warsaw. Group CEO Michael O’Leary says the move will grow Ryanair’s Albania traffic to more than 4 million passengers in 2026, with potential to expand to six based aircraft, 5 million passengers and 20 additional routes by 2030. Additionally, Ryanair has announced a record winter schedule in Sweden, projecting 4.3 million passengers annually across 48 routes, including eight new services from five airports. The plan includes seven based aircraft: five at Stockholm Arlanda and two at Gothenburg.
JetBlue Airways will expand its network in December 2025 with new Florida and Caribbean routes. Service to Vero Beach begins Dec. 11 and Daytona Beach Dec. 4, each with daily flights from Boston Logan and New York JFK. New Tampa–Punta Cana service launches Dec. 18 operating daily, while Islip–Tampa and Islip–Fort Myers start Dec. 19 and Dec. 18, respectively, on seasonal schedules. Fort Lauderdale–Santiago de los Caballeros launches Dec. 13, flying daily for the winter. From Boston, JetBlue will boost winter frequencies to daily for St. Thomas, Liberia, St. Maarten and Nassau starting Dec. 18, and add second Saturday flights to Grand Cayman Dec. 20 and Bridgetown Jan. 10, 2026.
Wizz Air will expand service from Cluj International Airport with four new international routes for the 2025-26 winter and 2026 summer seasons. New winter destinations include Marrakesh, starting Oct. 26 with Thursday and Sunday flights; Stockholm Skavsta, from Oct. 27 on Mondays and Fridays; and Oslo Sandefjord Torp, from Oct. 28 on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Marrakesh and Oslo will be served for the first time from Cluj, while Stockholm Skavsta returns after an eight-year absence. For summer 2026, a Milan Malpensa service launches on March 29 with 4X-weekly flights, marking Wizz Air’s eighth Italian destination from Cluj.
Avelo Airlines is launching six new nonstop routes in late 2025. From Wilmington International Airport, a 2X-weekly service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, begins on Dec. 24, and to West Palm Beach starts Nov. 20. Key West will gain a 2X-weekly service to Tweed-New Haven, from Nov. 19. From Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, Avelo will begin 2X-weekly flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Oct. 22, and a 4X-weekly service to West Palm Beach and Albany, on Oct. 23.
Spirit Airlines has started operations at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport with daily nonstop service to Newark Liberty International Airport. The carrier will add Fort Lauderdale service Oct. 9 with 4X-weekly flights and Nashville service the same day with 3X-weekly flights. A 2X-weekly Detroit service begins Oct. 10. The new Savannah service marks Spirit's third Georgia destination. The ULCC first launched service at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport some 19 years ago and recently announced new service to Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon, commencing Oct. 16.
BermudAir will launch a 2X-weekly nonstop service between Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on Dec. 18. Flights will operate Thursdays and Sundays. The new route follows the airline’s previously announced nonstop flights to Boston Logan and Baltimore/Washington International, set to begin Dec. 19. “We believe these new routes will not only improve the travel experience for our passengers but also significantly boost tourism to Anguilla,” BermudAir founder and CEO Adam Scott says.

Wizz Air will open a base at Bratislava Airport, Slovakia, allocating two Airbus A321neos and launching 12 new routes. The move will add nearly 1 million seats annually, boosting the airport’s traffic from 2 million to a projected 3 million passengers in 2026. New destinations include Athens, Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Basel, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, Niš, Plovdiv, Varna and Oslo. The expansion follows the recent launch of Bratislava–Bucharest service and brings the airline’s Slovak network to 17 routes in 10 countries.
Volotea will expand its French network in February 2026 with new and reinstated routes from Nantes and Toulouse. From Feb. 12, the carrier will launch 2X-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays from Nantes to Brussels Charleroi, marking its first Belgium link from the city and adding a 12th country to its Nantes network of 48 destinations. From Feb. 20, Volotea will resume a 2X-weekly Tuesday and Friday service from Toulouse to Luxembourg. The LCC expects to carry more than 2 million passengers from Nantes and 540,000 from Toulouse in 2025.
Arkia Israeli Airlines will resume a 2X-weekly Tel Aviv–Bangkok service from Nov. 25 and launch a weekly Tel Aviv–Hanoi route from Jan. 5, 2026. Both routes will be operated with Airbus A330 aircraft. The Hanoi service is scheduled to increase to 2X-weekly from March.

Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines is launching a new route to Serbia. Flights will connect Astana and Belgrade from Nov. 3. The service will be offered twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. SCAT will become the sole carrier to link the destinations nonstop, according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.
India’s Akasa Air will launch daily flights between Mumbai and Phuket starting Sept. 20, marking its sixth international destination and first foray into Southeast Asia. “With this expansion, Akasa Air reinforces its commitment of making global travel accessible for every flyer,” Akasa co-founder and SVP international Neelu Khatri says. “Thailand has long been a favourite among Indian travelers, and the demand for direct and affordable international travel continues to surge across the country.”
Jet2.com will launch weekly Glasgow–Kos flights from May 26 to Oct. 20, 2026, expanding its Greek network to six destinations. The route will operate on Tuesdays. “As the largest airline and tour operator to Greece from Scotland, we have responded quickly to that demand to give customers even more choice from Glasgow Airport,” Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy says. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to 40 destinations from Glasgow Airport next year.
IndiGo has announced 4X-weekly flights from Mumbai to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Almaty, Kazakhstan, starting Sept. 1 and 2, respectively. The launches follow the airline’s recent introduction of Mumbai–Tbilisi service. The LCC already operates Delhi–Tashkent, Delhi–Almaty, and Delhi–Tbilisi routes.

Australia’s Sharp Airlines and Qantas have announced a new interline agreement to expand travel options for passengers by linking regional destinations with Qantas’ network. Passengers booking through Qantas will be able to connect to Sharp Airlines’ flights to regional locations in Victoria and Tasmania, including King and Flinders Islands. Australian-owned Sharp Airlines operates 23 Metroliner aircraft, servicing five states.
Blue Islands has announced the launch of direct flights from Guernsey and Jersey to Ostend, Belgium, in December. “Our flights to Christmas markets are always very popular and we're excited to offer our new festive destination from both Guernsey and Jersey for 2025,” Blue Islands CEO Rob Veron says.
Flynas is set to launch a new 3X-weekly service between Riyadh and Nairobi, scheduled to commence Oct. 2. The airline will operate the route using A320neo aircraft, according to data provided by OAG Schedules Analyser. The Riyadh-Nairobi route is also served by Saudia.

Lufthansa will resume nonstop flights from Munich to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, from Oct. 26. The route will operate three times per week using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The airline last offered flights between the destinations in 2017. This year marks the 65th anniversary of Lufthansa's first flight to Saudi Arabia. Along with Eurowings and ITA Airways, Lufthansa Group airlines will offer a total of 22 weekly departures to Saudi Arabia, with more than 120 weekly flights to the region.
Royal Air Maroc will reinstate flights between Marrakech and four French cities—Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes, and Bordeaux—starting Oct. 10. The new routes will operate 2X-weekly, with flights to Toulouse and Lyon scheduled for Mondays and Fridays; to Nantes on Wednesdays and Saturdays; and to Bordeaux on Thursdays and Sundays. The airline will also increase frequencies on existing routes to Marseille and Brussels. These additions are part of Royal Air Maroc's strategy to enhance connectivity between Morocco and key European markets, particularly France and Belgium. The new services are expected to cater to Moroccan expatriates and international tourists.
China Eastern Airlines will begin flying between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Muscat, Oman, starting on Nov. 30. The route, currently unserved, will be operated twice a week with Airbus A330-300 aircraft. According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, Oman Air operated the last nonstop service between Oman and mainland China, flying between Muscat and Guangzhou until February 2023.
American Airlines has expanded its service to Québec City with the launch of a new route from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The seasonal service to Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) will operate every Saturday through Nov. 1, using Embraer 175 aircraft. Additionally, American is increasing frequencies to YQB from Charlotte, offering daily flights through Oct. 5, before switching to weekly service until Nov. 1. These new offerings complement the airline’s daily summer flights from Philadelphia and Chicago.
