MROH CEO Carroll Lane
Carroll Lane started as CEO of MROH Group (formerly MRO Holdings) effective Aug. 4.
He replaces Greg Colgan, who held the role for nine years before leaving the company in June to become CEO of Citadel Completions in August.
Lane has a long history with United Technologies, including serving as president of Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines from January 2020 to June 2022.
He most recently was a senior advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and before that was senior vice president of Kaman Corp., where he led its Engineered Products and Precision Products divisions. Lane also served as interim chief financial officer.
Roberto Kriete, MROH Group chairman of the board, cites Lane’s “alignment with MROH’s values” and his “impressive credentials,” which include an MBA from Harvard Business School, a bachelor’s from Williams College and serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Naval aviator, as some of the attributes that stood out.
With Lane’s appointment, Don Mitacek resumes his role as executive advisor to the board of directors.
MROH is one of the world’s largest airframe maintenance companies—with 91 lines of airframe maintenance. Its companies include Aeroman in El Salvador; Flightstar in Jacksonville, Florida; TechOps MX in Queretaro, Mexico; and North State in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
MROH produced 9.6 million MRO labor hours in 2023, according to Inside MRO’s biennial Top 10 MRO survey.
In July 2024, Bain Capital took a minority holding in MRO Holdings to facilitate the aftermarket company’s growth.
Colgan led MROH through significant growth but expect more with Bain’s backing.
