Augusta Engine Expansion
StandardAero expanded its business aviation MRO center in Augusta, Georgia, by 80,500 sq. ft, which represents 60% more capacity. The site largely will increase Honeywell HTF7000 engine MRO capacity. StandardAero is the exclusive independent overhaul provider for this engine, which powers various Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer and Gulfstream aircraft.
ASL Airlines Australia Expands Fleet
ASL Airlines Australia took delivery of its second Boeing 737-800BCF at Brisbane Airport on Aug. 25. The carrier says it will deploy the aircraft on “key routes across the Tasman.”

Ethiopian Completes Leap-1B MRO Milestone
Ethiopian MRO Services has completed its first CFM International Leap-1B performance restoration shop visit. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew says Ethiopian MRO is one of only a few MRO facilities to have achieved this testing capability. The testing was conducted at Ethiopian MRO’s FAA- and Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority-approved test cell facility in Addis Ababa.
Uganda Airlines Completes First In-House Engine Change
Uganda Airlines’ approved maintenance organization has completed its first in-house engine change. The MRO, operating under approval from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, changed out a General Electric CF34-8C5 engine on a Bombardier CRJ900 at its facilities in Entebbe.

Airbourne Colours Set For Second Paint Hangar Opening
UK-based aircraft painting specialist Airbourne Colours is on course to open its second hangar at Teesside Airport later this year. The new facility will be capable of accommodating narrowbody aircraft, including Airbus A321 and Boeing 737 Max aircraft. The company opened its first paint hangar at the site in October 2024.

Jordan Airmotive To Service Texel Air's CFM56-7B Engines
Jordan Airmotive has signed a long-term general terms agreement with Bahrain-based cargo carrier and airframe MRO provider Texel Air. Under the terms of the partnership, the Jordanian MRO will comprehensive MRO services for Texel Air’s CFM International CFM56-7B engines.
Vietjet Breaks Ground On MRO Facility
Vietjet has broke ground on a new aircraft maintenance facility at the under construction Long Thanh international airport near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The $100 million facility will have capacity to handle up to 10 aircraft simultaneously once constructed across two aircraft hangars at the new airport, which is expected to begin operating next year.

New Aviation Maintenance School In Colorado
Aims Community College has opened a new aircraft maintenance training center at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland. The college plans to begin classes there in January 2026 from the 60,000 ft.² facility, which includes aircraft repair hangars, classrooms, avionics, hydraulics and electronics testing labs, and shops for composites, brakes, tires, paint and parts.
TP Aerospace Moves To New Singapore Facility
TP Aerospace has moved into a new office and wheel and brake maintenance and warehouse facility in Singapore. The company officially moved to the new facility earlier this week after passing its final audit and receiving regulatory approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.

IFS Acquires Supply Chain AI Software Specialist
IFS has acquired 7bridges, an artificial intelligence-powered supply chain management software specialist that uses AI simulation and analytics to automate and optimize logistics networks. IFS says it sees an opportunity to scale the software’s capabilities in the industries it serves, including for aerospace and defense sectors.
Air Europa Expands Component Deal With Lufthansa Technik
Air Europa has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik that expands its long-term Boeing 737 Total Component Support agreement with the German MRO provider to include its two existing and future 737 MAX aircraft. The agreement also extends the companies’ cooperation by several more years.

TAT Technologies Lands Boeing APU MRO Deal
TAT Technologies has signed a three-year MRO contract with Boeing covering the GTCP331-500 auxiliary power unit used on the 777. TAT Technologies estimates the contract is valued at approximately $12 million in revenue.
Lufthansa Technik Grows Trainee Cohort
Lufthansa Technik reports that it has welcomed 375 new trainees to its apprenticeship and dual study programs in Germany, and more than 1,000 people are now enrolled in these programs. The company has stated a goal of growing its proportion of female employees, and it says nearly 12% of its new recruits are women.

SATA Air Açores Maintenance has implemented Swiss-AS AMOS software to replace its legacy IBS Software iFlight system, which it has been using since 2004. It says AMOS will help it innovate, develop and optimize the technical management of its fleet.
From Hollywood To Maintenance Classroom
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has acquired a Westinghouse J34 turbojet engine with a Hollywood history to use for hands-on training. The engine was owned by professional stuntman and aviation coordinator Steve Bolan, who repurposed it for creating special effects in films such as Forrest Gump, The Matrix Reloaded and The Aviator. The college will use the engine to provide engine startup sequence training.

Newbow Aerospace Signs New Saudi Arabia Deal
Newbow Aerospace has signed an exclusive sales and service agreement with Riyadh-based GGAS Aviation Services, through which the Saudi Arabian maintenance provider and consultancy will offer in-country distribution, aftersales service, repair, calibration, spare parts support and training for Newbow Aerospace’s ground support equipment products.
HAECO Starts A321neo Line Maintenance Support For Cathay Pacific
HAECO has expanded its line maintenance support for Cathay Pacific by adding services for its Airbus A321neo fleet at Hong Kong International Airport. It will be providing services including line maintenance planning, transit checks, cabin cleaning and maintenance, overnight maintenance up to A checks, engine on-wing maintenance, ground equipment support, aircraft washing and AOG recovery.

Lufthansa Technik Seeks First Airbus AeroSHARK Certification
Lufthansa Technik has started the certification process to apply its AeroSHARK drag-reducing riblet film to Airbus A330ceos. It is seeking a supplemental type certificate to modify A330-200 and -300 fuselages and nacelles. AeroSHARK is already certified for the Boeing 777-300ER, 777-200ER and 777F.
Iberia Maintenance Seeks Vehicle Maintenance Talent
Iberia Maintenance has developed a vocational training course that will help professionals in the transport, vehicle maintenance and automotive industries transition to become aviation turbine engine maintenance technicians. The 500-hr. theoretical and practical training program will take place at Iberia Maintenance’s facilities in La Munoza, Spain.

ASL Airlines Belgium Renews HAECO MRO Deal
ASL Airlines Belgium has renewed its base maintenance agreement with HAECO covering its Boeing 747-400ERF freighter fleet. HAECO will provide services from its Xiamen, China, facility from 2026-29.
AAR Expands EAGLE Pathway Partnerships
AAR Corp. has added two new schools to its EAGLE Career Pathway Program. Last week, it signed memoranda of understanding with Denton, Texas-based US Aviation Academy and with Legacy Aviation Learning Center, a nonprofit based in Traverse City, Michigan, that operates a Part 147 school and provides aviation continuing education opportunities. AAR says Legacy Aviation Learning Center offers one of the first programs in the U.S. to follow the FAA’s new Part 147 regulation curriculum requirements, which focus on learning based on competency instead of time.

Setna iO Purchases IndiGo A321neos For Teardown
Setna iO has purchased two Airbus A321neo airframes from IndiGo. The airframes—which are configured with high gross weight enhanced landing gear, Honeywell GTCP131-9A auxiliary power units, Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan nacelles and upgraded avionics suites—will be disassembled in Castellon, Spain.
Magnetic MRO Integrates Parts And Maintenance Software Platforms
Magnetic MRO has completed its two-way integration between SkySelect’s parts procurement platform and Swiss-AS AMOS maintenance software. Magnetic says the seamless and live data exchange between both platforms supports its digitized processes and improves operational efficiency.

Barnes Aerospace Acquires ATI’s East Hartford Ops
Aftermarket component MRO provider Barnes Aerospace has acquired the East Hartford Operations division of ATI Forged Products, an aerospace and defense industry specialist in machining of flight-critical rotating hardware such as rotor hubs, rotorcraft components and jet engine discs.
Werner Aero Acquires A Dozen E190s
Werner Aero has acquired 12 Embraer E190-100 airframes and 12 General Electric CF34-10E6 engines from JetBlue Airways. The airframes and engines will be delivered to Ascent Aviation Services in Marana, Arizona, for teardown through February 2026.

IAC Plans Additional Teruel Widebody Hangar
International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) has announced plans to expand at its Teruel, Spain, facility by constructing an additional widebody hangar. The new hangar is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026 and create approximately 60 new full-time jobs. IAC will break ground this month on construction.
PAC Plans Oklahoma Expansion
Premium Aerospace Center Oklahoma (PAC) has signed a lease agreement to expand and construct a new 130,000 ft.² hangar at the Oklahoma Air and Space Port. The hangar will be equipped to service some of the largest aircraft in the commercial fleet, including the Boeing 777X, and PAC expects the facility to generate 200 new jobs.

HAECO, ASLB Renew 747 Base Maintenance Contract
MRO provider HAECO has extended its base maintenance agreement with ASL Airlines Belgium (ASLB). Under the renewed agreement, HAECO will continue to support ASLB’s Boeing 747-400ERF freighter fleet with base maintenance services at its facility in Xiamen, China from 2026 to 2029. ASLB, a cargo airline based at Liège Airport in Belgium, operates a fleet of 737 and 747-400ERF aircraft, serving hubs in Europe, China and the United States.
Jordan Airmotive, AJW Expand CFM56-7B Partnership
Jordan Airmotive has expanded its partnership with AJW Group focusing on MRO services for CFM International CFM56-7B engines. Under the terms of the agreement, Jordan Airmotive will support UK-headquartered AJW with technical services aimed at enhancing efficiency, extending engine life cycles and ensuring consistent performance across the company's aviation network.

GoAeroMx installed an Innovative Solutions and Support engine indicating and crew alerting system (EICAS) to a flat-panel display system on a Boeing 767-300. This achievement replaces two legacy EICAS displays with one that includes both monitoring and alerting functions, so 767 or 757 operators can have a modernized, integrated flight deck.
FL Technics Opens New Bergamo Wheels And Brakes Facility
FL Technics has opened a new wheels and brakes facility in Bergamo, Italy. The approximately 22,000 ft.² facility—FL Technics’ fourth wheels and brakes site—is expected to grow to nearly 160 staff.

Cebu Pacific has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) covering integrated consumables and expendables supply for its entire fleet of Airbus A320, A321ceo/neo and A330neo aircraft. The deal gives the Philippine carrier access to LHT’s inventory of more than 400,000 parts and 24/7 AOG support.
StandardAero Relocates Honeywell APU Support To UK
StandardAero has relocated its Honeywell Aerospace GTCP36 auxiliary power unit MRO program to its Fleetlands facility in Gosport, UK. The company says the strategic move is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, increasing capacity and improving turnaround times for its EMEA customer base. StandardAero also supports the APU type from its Augusta, Georgia, and Maryville, Tennessee, facilities in the U.S.
