Rockwell OV-10 Bronco mission capabilities resemble those of a fast, long-range, inexpensive, reliable, heavy duty helicopter.

Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft cruise at 225 mph, can carry 6,000 lbs., and can loiter for over three hours.

Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft are known for their versatility, short field ability, redundancy, load, wide field of view, low operating cost and ease of maintenance.

Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft are no longer used by the U.S. military.  Among other things Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft are now used for anti-drug crop spraying, and by NASA for noise and stability research. The Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is no longer produced, so operators try to keep extra aircraft air frames for use as spare parts.

Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft are used by the CDF for command and control. Their crews handle vital tactical coordination with ground personnel providing information on movements, etc. The Rockwell OV-10 Bronco then directs CDF fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter pilots as necessary.

Approximately 300 Rockwell OV-10 Bronco aircraft were produced.

OV-10 Bronco Scale Nitro Gas/Electric Brushless Radio Remote Controlled RC Airplane R/C ARF Plane
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is one of the most popular twin engine RC Airplanes, with lots of models to choose from. The radio control airplanes can be powered by engine or electric power and RC Airplane sizes are from park flyers to giant scale.

Pictured above is the Rockwell OV-10 Bronco radio control airplane built from Rich Uravitch Plans.  The first picture below is of Charlie Rose and his RC Rockwell OV-10 Bronco airplane, also from Rich Uravitch Plans.

Rich Uravitch Plans has plans for two sizes of RC Rockwell OV-10 Bronco airplanes.  The larger radio control airplane has a wing span of 81.5" and a length of 79.5".  To power the rc airplane you can use .46 to .60 two stroke or .70 to.90 four stroke engines. When completed the radio control airplane should weigh between 15 and 19 lbs.

The smaller Rich Uravitch Plans RC Rockwell OV-10 Bronco airplane has a wing span and length of 52.5".  It will take .15 to .25 two stroke engines to power the radio control airplane.  All up weight of the RC Airplane will be between 5 and 7 lbs.

A number of retailers carry the Rockwell OV-10 radio control airplane from Nitro Models.  The RC Airplane is 50" long and has a wing span of 48".  Engine power for the radio control airplane can be a pair of .15 two strokes.  To power your RC Airplane electrically,  400 size outrunner type motors are recommended.

Kondor Model Products has a giant scale OV-10 radio control airplane with a 96" wing span.  The RC Airplane should be powered by .91 four stroke engines.  All up weight of the radio control airplane is about 19 lbs.

Kit Cutters Inc. has plans, a short or full kit for an RC Rockwell OV-10 Bronco airplane.  The radio control airplane has a 81" length and a 79.5" wing span.  Power for the RC Airplane can be from .46 to .60 engines. The radio control airplane should weight between 12 and 15 lbs.

Hobby Hanger has an RC Rockwell OV-10 Bronco airplane ARF. Length of the radio control airplane is 79.5" and wing span is 80.5".  Recommended power for the RC Airplane can come from two .41 to .61 engines.  The radio control airplane can weigh between 16 and 19 lbs.

Hobby Hanger has a OV-10 RC Airplane kit.  The radio control airplane has a 52" wing span.  To power the RC Airplane you will need two .25 engines.  All up weight of the radio control airplane should come out to 6 or 7 lbs.

Precision Cut Kits has plans or a kit for a OV-10 RC Airplane.  Wing span of the radio control airplane is 96".  Recommended power for the RC Airplane are a pair of Saito FA 80 or 91 engines.

K&A Models has a 42" wing span OV-10 radio control airplane.  The RC Airplane has a fiberglass fuselage and foam core wings.  You can power the radio control airplane with a pair of 400 size motors.  All up weight of the RC Airplane comes out to between 38 and 42 oz.

The last two pictures on this page are of a Keith Sparks design OV-10 radio control airplane from RC Store.com.  The RC Airplane has a wing span of 47".  Recommended power for the radio control airplane can come from a pair of 400 size motors. All up weight of the RC Airplane should be between 45 and 66 oz.

Have you built and flow a Rockwell OV-10 Bronco radio control airplane you would like to show off? Perhaps you have a favorite OV-10 kit, ARF, or plans you would like to recommend.  If so, please email us the details.
