Hawker Sea Fury aircraft are the ultimate development of British piston engine fighter aircraft.  They are the world's fastest production single piston engine aircraft. 
 
The Hawker Sea Fury was conceived as a more compact version of the Hawker Tempest.  It was built as a land based aircraft and a naval aircraft.
 
The Hawker Sea Fury originally flew in September of 1944.  Although the Royal Air Force lost interest in the land based aircraft by that time, the Royal Navy wanted it.  
 
Hawker Sea Fury aircraft saw action during the Korean War where one downed a North Korean jet. 
 
Hawker Sea Fury aircraft remained in Naval service, but began being replaced by jet aircraft starting in 1953.  The Hawker Sea Fury also served with the Naval Reserve until 1957.  
  
Today a number of Hawker Sea Fury aircraft can be seen in air shows or in air racing.   
 
A total of 860 Hawker Sea Fury aircraft of all types were produced.

Pictured above is the great looking RC Hawker Sea Fury airplane scratch built by Bill Kummel. The radio control airplane has a wing span of 88". Powering the rc airplane is a Sachs 4.2 engine. 
 
The first picture below is of Jack Devine with his rc Hawker Sea Fury airplane from his own Jack Devine Models kit.  The radio control airplane is 71" long and has a wing span of 88".  To power the RC Airplane you can use ST3250, G45 or Moki 1.8 or 2.10 engines.  All up weight of the radio control airplane should be between 18 and 20 lbs.
 
Kit Cutters has a good selection of RC Hawker Sea Fury airplanes from various plans.  The radio control airplanes are available as short or full kits, or plans alone.
 
From Jerry Bates Plans, Kit Cutters has a 81" wing span rc Hawker Sea Fury airplane for a ST350 or G45 engine.  Weight of the radio control airplane is between 18 and 24 lbs.
 
The next Jerry Bates Plans RC Hawker Sea Fury airplane has a 101" wing span.  You will need 3.5 c.i.d. or larger engines to power the radio control airplane. All up weight of the rc airplane should be between 35 and 40 lbs.
 
The largest Hawker Sea Fury radio control airplane from Jerry Bates Plans has a wing span of 115".  To power the rc Hawker Sea Fury airplane a 5.1 c.i.d. or larger engine is required. The radio control airplane should weigh between 45 and 50 lbs.
 
Kit Cutters has a short kit, full kit or plans for a RC Hawker Sea Fury airplane from Nexus Plans. The radio control airplane has a 56" wing span. Recommended power for the RC Airplane comes from engines that are .45 to .60 size.

A larger Roy Vaillancort Plans Hawker Sea Fury radio control airplane from Kit Cutters spans 101". Fuselage length of the rc airplane is 92".  The radio control airplane needs 4.2 to 5.8 c.i.d. engines for power.  When complete the rc Hawker Sea Fury airplane should weigh between 38 and 46 lbs.
 
The second and third pictures below are of the Hawker Sea Fury radio control airplane from a Century Models kit.  The RC Airplane has a wing span of 87" and a length of 78".  Recommended power for the radio control airplane is a Sachs 4.2 or larger engine.  The RC Hawker Sea Fury airplane should weigh between 25 and 28 lbs. upon completion. 
 
 
E-flite has a RC Sea Fury airplane ARF made from EPS foam.  The radio control airplane has a wing span of 37" and a length of 33".  It is recommended that you power the rc Sea Fury airplane with a 450 size outrunner motor.
