The swept wing F-84 for sale from K & A Models, built by Mike Warren. It has a wingspan of 33". Materials used in the construction are a fiberglass fuselage and foamy core wings. At least a 400 watt brushless motor should be used for power, driving either a mini 480 or 609 fan unit.  All up weight is between 3 and 3 1/2 lbs.

F-84 aircraft were the first U.S. fighters capable of air to air refueling. As a demonstration of the USAF long range jet fighter capabilities, F-84 aircraft flew non stop from Turner AFB, Georgia, U.S.A. to RAF Lakenheath, U.K. using air to air refueling. The flight, during August of 1953, set a single engine jet fighter distance record of 4,485 miles.

A F-84 slope soarer from Paul Janssens plans.  It has a wingspan of 35" and uses ailerons and elevator controls. You can find the plans in the PSS Model Plans directory.

During the Korean War the F-84 was initially used as a bomber escort. Later missions included ground attack. On May 15, 1953, F-84 aircraft knocked out North Korean dams causing a massive loss of electrical power. Before the Korean war ended, F-84 aircraft completed over 86,400 missions, dropping over 50,000 tons of ordnance. F-84 pilots claimed victories or hits on 105 North Korean jets.

A F-84 for sale from PST Jets. The rc model airplane has a wingspan of 90 1/2" and a length of 83". It has a composite fuse and balsa laminate wings. PST recommends their J1300 or J1600 turbine engine. Dry weight is around 31 lbs.

Over 2,000 F-84 aircraft were supplied to U.S. allies before production ended. They continued to fly until 1971.

The rc F-84 built by Dotcom of RC Groups. Wingspan is 33 1/2" and it is 35 1/2" long. The fuselage is all wood and wings are balsawoood over foamy. Power comes from a Mega 16/15/2 motor turning a 70 mm EDF unit.

A total of 7,524 F-84 aircraft of all types were produced.

All the F-84 rc airplanes we know of are shown on this page. If you have information of any others, please email us.
