The Eurofighter is considered by many as today's premier European made fighter aircraft.

Pilots report that the Eurofighter is "exhilarating to fly" with high maneuverability. The twin EJ200 turbofan engines combine light weight, high thrust, and low fuel consumption.

Eurofighter aircraft are being deployed throughout Europe and in Saudi Arabia. They have been deployed since 2004.

The Eurofighter features a HUD (Head Up Display), terrain following radar and navigation, all weather attack ability, Single Display Processor graphic outputs (SDP), Multi-function Head Down Display (MHDD), Forward Looking Infrared Radar (FLIR), Moving Map Display (MMD), GPS Inertial Navigation, Direct Voice Input (DVI) module for control of non critical systems, Hands On Throttle And Stick (HOTAS) for multiple functions without the pilots hands leaving the throttle

The Eurofighter also has Fly By Wire (FBW) Flight Control System (FCS) with quadruple redundancy, auto approach, auto attack, auto throttle,  auto-track, auto-way point, and All Systems Central Processing (ASCPU).

The Eurofighter is in the running for a 126 airplane order from India. We understand that an announcement should be made by the Indian government regarding the outcome some time in 2011.

Eurofighter aircraft have recently seen action attacking Gaddafi forces in Libya.

To date approximately 160 Eurofighter aircraft have been produced with orders placed for some 559 more.

Pictured above is the rc Eurofighter from Nitroplanes. Its wingspan is 25" and it is 38 1/2" long with a weight of around 23 oz. Included is a motor turning a 64 mm EDF. This is just one of the rc Eurofighter radio control airplanes available in a variety of sizes and paint schemes, as ARF or RTF, at NitroPlanes.

The picture immediately below is of the rc Eurofighter for sale from SAPAC America. The ARF has a wingspan of 37 1/2" and a length of 39 1/2". A 4000 KV motor driving a 65 mm fan comes with the all foam rc airplane.

Parkjets plans for the 30" wingspan rc Eurofighter that is shown in the second picture below. Length is 42" with a weight around 20 oz. The pusher prop is spun by a Hacker A20-20L motor.

The third picture below is a sweet looking Grumania Jet Model rc Eurofighter. It has a wingspan of 48" and a length of 62". Weight is around 15 lbs. Grumania says that you can use any turbine with more than 11 lbs. thrust for power.

The final picture on the page is of the nice rc Eurofighter by Aero Dreamworks of RC Groups. Wingspan is 26" and length is 34.5". Power for the pusher prop rc airplane is provided by a C28-30 motor.

Please email us if you have built a rc Eurofighter, or if you would like to recommend one.

Green Air Design has a rc Eurofighter for sale. It is made from Depron with a wingspan of 24" and a length of 30". To power it you will need a pair of 2300 Kv motors plus 44 mm EDF units.

Parkjets has two plans for the rc Eurofighter. Not shown is their 24" wingspan radio control jet. Typical propulsion can be a Himax 2015-4100 geared motor with a pusher prop.

George Garr of Las Vegas, NV writes:
"I built the 30" rc  Eurofighter from the Parkjets plans It flies easily, and has a very light wing loading. The ailerons are effective and the elevator is not overly sensitive. It does all the aerobatics, but what it does best is fly very slowly with a nose high attitude."

We thank you for the information about your Parkjets rc Eurofighter, George.
