The Boeing AH-64 Apache has been the main attack helicopter of the U.S. Army for some twenty years. Missions of the Boeing AH-64 Apache include anti-tank and troop support, in all weather conditions, day and night.
Although the main weapons of the Boeing AH-64 Apache are its missiles, the aircraft is also equipped with a rapid fire 33 mm chain gun. The Boeing AH-64 Apache incorporates heavy armor to protect the crew and helicopter engines in the intense hostile environment where it typically operates.

The Boeing AH-64 Apache Longbow became operational in early 2003. It features more powerful engines, additional avionics, a dual redundant air conditioning system, and on some models, a new mast mounted fire control radar. Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopters have seen action in Panama, the first Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan. Boeing AH-64 Apache are currently in use by the U.S. Army and numerous U.S. allies throughout the world.
